Hi, I’m Matt Ball — founder of Ballpoint Talent.
I’ve spent the better part of my career, since 2009, in sales across fast-moving and highly competitive industries including telecommunications, cybersecurity, and robotic process automation. Throughout that journey, one thing became very clear to me: the difference between a good company and a great one is almost always the people behind it.
After years of working closely with organizations navigating growth, transformation, and talent challenges, I saw a gap in the recruiting world. Too often, hiring felt transactional — focused on filling roles quickly rather than building lasting, high-impact teams. That didn’t sit right with me.
Ballpoint Talent was created to do things differently.
- I bring a sales-driven mindset to recruiting, which means I understand both sides of the equation — what companies truly need to grow, and what top talent is actually looking for in their next move. My background in industries like cybersecurity and emerging technologies allows me to speak the language of both hiring managers and candidates, ensuring a more thoughtful and precise match.
